The Disgusting American Business Of Incarceration
Those Americans detained by ICE are being housed in private prisons and have already proved to be a half a billion dollar motza for one such corporation running them. America is home of the financialized and privatized everything, where transparency is an outdated concept. No, it is all about profits and returns on investments for companies and their shareholders. The Trump administration is feeding its backers with the promised billions. The disgusting American business of incarceration. ICE is going after mums and school kids too. ICE is not limiting itself to targeting gang members and illegal aliens. No, that is way too restrictive on the numbers to fill these private prisons.
US Private Prisons Profiting From ICE Detainments
You may have lived quietly in the US for 40 years but that is no reason why ICE wouldn’t grab you and detain you. Masked ICE agents are turning up at work sites and arresting and taking away shit loads of working folk. Communities are being rocked by these divisive tactics, as longtime members are grabbed and taken away to private prisons. These companies running the private prisons get money for every person they hold in their facility. It pays for them to stock up on detainees, no matter the individual situation. No due process means that the sloppy actions of ICE go unchecked for some time. Helter skelter overkill by ICE and Homeland security forces are wrecking the lives of Americans.
“The Trump administration is moving quickly to dramatically expand the nation’s capacity for detaining immigrants who do not have legal authorization to be in the United States.
The administration has largely turned to the for-profit, private prison industry to reopen or repurpose shuttered and aging facilities — many of which have been previously criticized for poor conditions and inadequate care.
In February, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced it will reopen Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. The detention facility, owned by private prison company GEO Group, has the capacity to hold about 1,000 people. It will become the largest ICE processing and detention center on the East Coast. The 15-year contract is valued at $1 billion.”
America Was Built On Immigration
The United States of America was built on immigration. It is a piss poor retrospective agenda to now go around and arrest folk who have been living and working in the US for years and years. Donald Trump and his extremist regime are wrecking the US and for what? It is hard to see any advantages to what they are currently doing. Destroying the lives of tens of thousands of Americans for no reason but culture wars. The disgusting American business of incarceration.

ICE agents wearing masks are snatching academics and students to detain them for dissent. The US has become a fascist police state, where the rule of law has been coerced by Presidential executive orders and not Congress. This is, of course, illegal and the courts are disputing and pausing the Trump actions, which seek to deport all those they deem as unwanted in America. Some of these detained people have green cards or are citizens of the US.”
