These tariffs mean higher prices paid by ordinary Americans. Thus, tariffs are taxes paid by Americans. So much for the GOP being supposedly a political party committed to lower taxes. Get ready for the return of high inflation and prices rising across the board. Joe Biden and the Democrats spent 4 years getting the economy back under control after the ravishes of the global pandemic only to see the Trump wrecking ball stuff it all up again.

All those countries that embark on reciprocal tariffs will see prices rise on the goods and services being sold in their markets. We all will be paying much higher prices and thus tariff taxes to our governments. The stupid people have got hold of the levers of power in America and we will all suffer as a result. This is what you get from populism, where extremists instigate retaliatory measures to gratify the grievances of losers. In the midst of this you have opportunists seeking kleptocratic wealth. Elon Musk and Trump have purposely sacked the Inspector Generals so that they can indulge their penchant for macro corruption.
No Interest Rate Relief Blame Trump
Interest rates will not be coming down because Trump has created so much uncertainty. Right wing extremists are running amok in the government and sending markets into a free fall. Self interest has not resulted in the financial conditions that many Trump voters wished for. The world is not going to be a better place in any shape or form. Transactional Trump has betrayed the free world by abandoning Ukraine to cosy up to Vladimir Putin, a dictator he admires. What do dictators do? They steal billions from their people. Putin has long been thought to be the real richest man in the world. Anne Appelbaum has been writing about a global cabal of dictators doing deals with each other across borders to further enrich themselves. Donald Trump has positioned himself to join this infamous club. Strongmen shut down the media they don’t like. Trump is doing this. Dictators remove any viable opposition. Trump is nobbling large law firms and media corporations. Congress on the GOP side has become mute and refuses to behave like it should. Executive power is in overdrive and breaking laws left, right and centre. The courts are the last bastion and we know how stacked SCOTUS is in favour of the GOP. America is in a Constitutional crisis.

Trump’s America is going around insulting and betraying allies and former friends. The cabinet assembled by Trump is a collection of right wing media hacks and nutjobs. Signalgate is the latest f*** up from these fools suddenly thrust into power. I almost feel sorry for them but individuals like Pete Hegseth are lying scum bereft of empathetic worth. The predilection for lying by Donald Trump and the right wing eco system is totally out of control. Their MO is anytime they break the law they just lie about it. You cannot have a leadership run under these conditions, where truth and factuality are missing in action.
Time To Take Trump Down
