When Truth Is The Victim
I have to share with you that I am profoundly disappointed with where the world finds itself. I have been around for six decades and I must say I expected better. The rise of Donald Trump has pulled me into a deep concern for world affairs. This turn toward out and out greed and aggrandisement by the ‘so-called’ leader of the free world upsets me more than I can say. However, it is his complete disrespect for factuality and an adherence to the truth that riles me the most. If you cannot trust your leaders, then we are fucked, to put it plainly. When truth is the victim, faith in any future is lost.
The Truth About Trump & Putin
I think that you have to look back to the beginnings of Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin, which occurred back in 2013. Although Donald Trump’s business dealings with Russians go back to the 1980s. I suspect that a shared criminality between Trump and Putin in their desire to enrich themselves via power seals the nature of their relationship. Both have been at it for decades in this regard. Putin has been the more brutal and ruthless during his longer stint in charge of Russia. If I had to name who is the master and who the apprentice? I would place Putin in the role of Meister.

When Things Went South Globally
The Covid global pandemic is for me a signifier of when things really went south on the global stage. In reality the rot had set in much earlier than this but I was somewhat oblivious at the time. As the pandemic began to wind down, in terms of government freak outs, I noticed that businesses began to ruthlessly go after the liquidity that central banks had pumped into economies to prop them up. Corporate greed was in full swing shortly after this. Steeply rising inflation sent the cost of living up everywhere. People doing it tough had become used to government hand outs but this would not be forthcoming due to the inflationary effects. Interest rates rose steeply to combat rising inflation. The concentration and consolidation of corporate ownership meant there was bugger all competition in sectors. Price setting and gouging became prolific, as corporate profits reached record volumes. It is important to understand that due to the power of the US$ globally, the US exports inflation when it prints money. They currently have a US$38 trillion debt, think about that.
Putin Sends Fuck You To The World By Invading Ukraine
In the East, Putin’s Russia invaded Ukraine in a flagrant disregard of sovereignty and world peace. Personally, I was shocked, as it came after a period of governments bailing out businesses and citizens during the pandemic. This dog eat dog act of war had actually been going on for sometime over there with the earlier invasion of Crimea by more stealthy means. President Obama had failed to act on this at the time. Putin, obviously thought, the West was weak and why not go for the whole hog. This war continues to this day. When truth is the victim the days get darker by the minute.
The Dark Arts Come Into The Light
It was not too much longer before Hamas attacked Israel and the return fire from the IDF, in overkill on steroids, raised an entire city, Gaza. Netanyahu’s Israel murdered more than 70, 000 largely non-combatant Palestinians, most of who were children. The United Nations declared it a genocide. It continues, as we speak. The IDF bombed hospitals, killed doctors, aid workers and journalists in their hundreds. The world media was banned from covering the destruction of Gaza. Truth was one of the many victims in Gaza.
Trump’s America & ICE Shooting Unarmed Woman In The Face
Now, we have Trump’s America invading Venezuela and snatching its President Maduro. No declaration of war. No congressional approval. This is the Trump mob boss way. Executive actions, which are invariably illegal. Around 80 Venezuelans died during this incursion and bombing. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis ICE agents are murdering Americans. An unarmed mother of 3, who was protesting against the 2200 ICE agents terrorising folk in Minneapolis, was shot in the face by an ICE agent, as she attempted to back away in her car from the confrontation with heavily armed, masked paramilitary ICE agents. Renee Good had a whistle, while her ICE confronters had guns. This is Trump’s America.
Immediately, President Trump and Vice President Vance came out with lies and distortions about the murder of Renee Good by this ICE agent. Unfortunately, we would expect nothing less from these men and their administration. Trump is a compulsive liar and that is a fact. The evidence for this is legion.
The Murdering Of Truth
It is this murdering of truth, which pains me every day. If you cannot trust your leaders, you know the rest… Trump lies hundreds of times per day. Lying is like breathing for him. Yes, superficially people get used to this and adapt, but deep down it destroys faith in the future of humanity. It spins uncertainty everywhere you look. Is it any wonder that Westerners have stopped having children to a large degree. Populations are only growing through immigration. Life is not much fun if you have to watch and listen to President Trump. He is like a car wreck in slow motion, except the vehicle is the global economy and we will all suffer the consequences.
It is the blatant lies that irk me the most. This childlike buffoon is murdering truth with his motor mouth. Donald Trump is an octogenarian this year. Think about that. Old age does not automatically confer wisdom, obviously. He has no respect for you or me. He treats us all with disdain. If you cannot trust your leader…
Putin Trump’s Master To His Apprentice
“Meanwhile, Ukraine has to rely on a sleazy real estate guy, Steve Witkoff, in the Trump peace plan with its aggressor Putin’s Russia. Most of us have had our own dealings with real estate salesmen and know what that is like and where their instincts lie. Doing deals that favour their own interests and sucking up to the rich and powerful are par for the course. I’m sure Mr Zelenskyy feels the future of his country is in good hands with Witkoff LOL. It would be funny if it weren’t so tragic in light of all the many lives lost to warfare from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.”
