It is amazing how often fate treats hubristic behaviour in lives of the rich and famous. It is, as if, a certain point is reached or crossed by the individual and this releases the hounds of hell upon them. Isaac Heeney, the No#1 rated player in the AFL for much of the season and the poster boy for toothpaste smiles has come a cropper in the shady wee hours of Melbourne with a lap dancer. Isaac Heeney: The boy next door is no more. No, the nice lad we once knew has morphed into a dirtbag hero. Strippers or exotic dancers crying sexual assault rings in the ears of the greater public.
Victoria police are investigating an alleged sex crime and Heeney is at the centre of it.
“If I was a carpenter, would you still love me?”
How Did A Shy Heeney Turn So Sleazy?
‘I’m a creep’ is on long play repeat across the sound bites of a nation. How does a sweet guy turn so sleazy? Has both Paul Kellys’ pondering. Did Icarus Heeney fly too close to the Sun on one of his many specy marks? Or was it merely the Gods weighing up things and deciding that this bloke had it all too good for too bloody long? Blonde hair, winning smile, panther like athletic abilities and a seemingly sensible nature too boot. First we saw the new tattoos on the previously squeaky clean Heeney skin and thought, hang on somethings going on here. Then, the formerly shy No 5 for the Sydney Swans was made Vice Captain and a spokesman for the club. Before we knew it, his visage was on high rotation for some toothpaste mob.
A Social Conundrum For Heeney Involving Community Standards
Don’t believe your own hype. He is not the messiah, just a very naughty boy. You sexy thing. You can look but you can’t touch. That message, after a bunch of drinks for a bloke who doesn’t normally drink much, obviously, did not sink in. Now, it has all gone to shit. The Midas touch is no more. Recreational drugs???? The jury is still out on that particular possibility. Boozed up big time with your football mates in a strip club, boy does that sound familiar to a lot of men. Making a fool of yourself in those instances aint no rare occurrence. The fact that you are being paid millions of dollars to be a role model for young kids may have flown out the doors of consciousness, temporarily of course. I don’t think Isaac was thinking of Auskick at that exact moment. Well, we bloody hope that he wasn’t.
“Allegations of drug use and topless waitresses have emerged after the Sydney Swans players involved in a sexual assault investigation at a Melbourne hotel broke their silence.”
Sydney Bereft Of Bankable Stars For AFL Finals
Who can you trust if you are a Swans supporter? I bet most members would have nominated Isaac Heeney at the very top of that list, previously. The No 5 was rock solid in a contest. He was the team’s best player and arguably the AFL’s too. Heading into finals the Swans are headless and harmless, unfortunately. Without Warner, Blakey and Heeney Sydney is more than a sandwich short of a picnic. The tearaway kings, too often accused of being downhill skiers, have been denied their undoubtable weapons. Talk about taking a blunt knife to a gunfight. Errol Gulden will have to amass 400 possessions and 10, 000 metres gained for us to be any chance.
What a betrayal of club, family and your role in the greater community.
Isaac Heenety: The boy next door is no more.
Woes Of A Sydney Swans Supporter
“I am putting my hand up to confess that I am a longtime supporter of the Sydney Swans. What did Confucious say? ‘May you live during interesting times’ or words to that effect, perhaps. Regular readers may be aware of the many posts I have written about the fortunes of the red and white AFL side this year. In an ironic twist, I have been bemoaning the lack of on-field mongrel in this normally squeaky clean team. Hells bells, I did not wish to shake down the thunder from the sky. What I wanted was some more fight and desperation out on the footy field. What we have all got, it appears, is some God awful, alleged sexual assault.”
