Bruce Lehrmann goes to a strip club in Toowoomba in 2021, where he hooks up with a woman who later claims he raped her. He is now charged with allegedly raping this woman and the matter is before the courts in Queensland. Mister Lehrmann has been on our TV screens via Channel 7’s Spotlight, where he is portrayed as a victim of political and judicial skullduggery. Bruce Lehrmann was able to walk free after the Brittany Higgin’s rape trial collapsed due to juror misbehaviour and the decision was made not to have a retrial on the basis of the dangers to the mental health of the alleged victim Brittany Higgins. He was not cleared of the alleged charge of rape, however.

Now, Lehrmann is charged with the alleged rape of another woman in Toowoomba. Inferences can be made here that where there is all this smoke it is bloody likely there is fire. Of course, the presumption of innocence is always afforded those charged with alleged crimes until they are legally convicted by a court of law. It is, however, fair to ask a few pertinent questions regarding his behaviour, I think. Why is Bruce Lehrmann going to strip clubs? What is Mr Lehrmann looking for at these kinds of establishments? Does Bruce Lehrmann have a problem with his sexuality?
Why Is Bruce Going To Strip Clubs?
Strip clubs function on the basis of the commodification of sex. They sell the allure and titillation of naked women parading in sexually suggestive ways. Why is a young man attending a strip club? What is it about Bruce that attracts him or, perhaps, needs him to find his sexual gratification and partners via this means? Naked bodies gyrating under lurid lighting accompanied by hideously expensive alcoholic drinks. The strip club is a loser’s paradise in some people’s view. The men watching this show are paying to fantasise about this single dimension of this woman or women before them.
This visual feasting is, obviously, designed to stimulate the audience in a sexually arousing manner. This entrée to gratification is bought and paid for. What is it likely to lead to, however?
Waking Up To Bruce Lehrmann
In Bruce Lehrmann’s case it led to another alleged rape. In striking similarities to the Brittany Higgins alleged rape, once again a woman awakes to find herself allegedly sexually penetrated by Bruce Lehrmann’s penis. What is it about screwing sleeping women with Bruce? Could it be something to do with consent or the lack thereof with these women when awake? Allegedly speaking, of course. Has Bruce tried sex when the other person is conscious? Is it a preference or a needs must? God knows the animal world of sex is alive with a veritable cornucopia of carnal appetites and actions. Young men seeking sex are driven to behaviours by instinct and culture. It is no excuse, but a sticky reality just the same.

Men do not take too well to failure and rejection in the dating stakes. The sense of entitlement for some men overrides all concepts of decency, morality, and legal imperatives. Distorted passions descend into dark and violent realms. Raping and murdering are acts of war. Wars waged on those who deny them entry to their promised land. Images of pretty girls flashing alluring smiles on social media pages. Love lost lures men down into circles of Hell. In Maine, where America arms its citizens with assault rifles Robert Card murdered 18 innocent people because he was unhappy and had been dumped by a girlfriend. He opened automatic fire on children and disabled folk at a bowling alley.
Sex is a very dangerous thing, especially when it is taken away from men.
The Sexual Appetites Of Bruce & The Political Game
Bruce Lehrmann’s sexual appetites have, by the available evidence, gotten him into trouble. Two alleged rapes that we know about. Are there more out there? Bruce Lehrmann has been crowned by conservative forces as their celebrity figure head in their fight against the ‘Me Too’ movement. The right wing Murdoch press and their political conspirators have declared war on the Left and the ALP in Bruce’s name.
Battle lines were drawn over the naked body of Brittany Higgins in the parliamentary office of Liberal Party Senator Payne. These guys will politicise anything and everything, for them it is a high stakes game for control of Australia. Autocrats and the conservative power elite are sharpening their knives for the body and soul of the nation. Rapists aside, these men will stop at nothing to get what they want.
